Counting down to a New Start...

Yes Yes, I'm counting down the days to a brand new start. Well, I'm not really sure if I can adapt to a new working environment with more stressful workload but at least for sure I'm getting more $$ than before. It was a cool 20% increment....

But still, i do feel kind of uncertain and worried. Uncertain if i'm making the right choice for leaving this flexible working environment and I'm not sure if I can cope with much more stressful and competitive working environment. Well, I know I had worked in a competitive and stressful environment for 7 long years before. Why can't I cope with this kind of work life now? I should remain positive and just move on.

Speech & Drama Class ...

Yap, I have signed up a speech and drama class in Lorna Whinston for Chloe recently. It was a class especially for 2-3 years old kids. Anyway, this little gal love to attend classes hence I see no harm sending her to an extra lesson on Sunday. Well, even though it was an hour class but seriously I find the class very creative, exciting, interesting and fulfilling. I myself enjoyed it very much too.

During the class, kids will get to learn different alphabets every week in an interesting way. For eg, the sound for this week is 'U' so the teacher will create a scene where kids will go on a journey to Rain Road where they will meet a little girl who doesn't know how to use her umbrella and the kids will show her how to do it. They will also practice saying the creative phrase 'Under the Umbrella'. Hence, throughout the whole lesson, the teacher emphasized on the letter 'U'. They also get to make some simple art & craft relating to the alphabet. After class, Chloe can’t wait to share with daddy what she has learnt and made in class

The teacher, Ms Loo was an Australian but her accent was not difficult for the kids to understand. I find her a very humorous teacher with extreme facial expression.Hahahaha.....

Overall, Chloe had an enjoyable time in class and she can't wait to attend her next lesson soon.. As long as my little Chloe love it, all my money is well spent then.

Shopping - VIVO City

We met our friends for dinner in VIVO City last Saturday. I was damn upset over a statement that my hubby made about me and I decided to give him a cold shoulder.

Well as usual, I let him took care of Chloe so that I could go for my shopping spree. It was the first day of Great Singapore Sales and wah....there were already many people! I very much wanted to get a nice bag but there were not many choices available. I guess maybe I should visit one of the boutiques again. Sighs. But I do not wish to spend too much money on bag though. How contradicting!!! Hahahaha! In the end, I bought a pair of sandals from Tangs and a 'Hello Kitty' doctor set from Toy S Rus for Chloe. By the time we reached home it was already 12midnite.

Swimming pool.......

We brought Chloe to our sister in law's place for a swim last weekend. Well, I don't think it was considered a swim at all since this little gal just refused to get into the water. I tried different ways to trick her into the pool but it just don't work. We even bought her a big teddy bear float to entice her but she just refused to get into the float. Hmmm...I guess I can’t really blame her since her trip to swimming pool was November last year. She did not have any phobia the last time and I have no idea why she had it now. Whenever I asked her why, she will replied 'Chloe is scared of water'. Oh..how to make her phobia go away? Probably I should have bring her to the pool more often then.

Anyway, she had equal fun sitting at the edge of the pool, scooping water in and out of the bucket. We will visit the pool again this weekend, hopefully my little gal will enjoy the water like before. But before that, I guess I should get her a new swimming costume, her current one is way too short n tight for her already. :)

Hubby's Birthday

It was hubby's birthday last Saturday. But unfortunately, he was down with a bad flu so we had to call off our plan to Jumbo seafood restaurant for our favorite chilly crabs. We decided to have a simple and light meal in one of the famous porridge stall along Kovan Road. After that, we headed to Hougang Mall to get a birthday cake. I bought a 'Little Melody' cake from Polar Puff (as requested by Little Chloe) which was much smaller as compared to cakes from the other shops. Heheehhehe. Anyway, the cake was meant for Chloe than hubby. Both of us were not cake lovers.

Back home, Chloe was so excited and started to sing 'Happy birthday' song to Hubby. Hubby was so happy and touched. After all, this was the first time, our little gal sang birthday song and celebrate birthday with him.

Mother's Day Celebration - 11th May

We had a simple Mother's day celebration at mum's place since Grandma was not well to lunch out. We ordered dishes from Golden pillow and bought fried chicken, chilly crabs and a mango cake. Though it was a simple lunch but we had a wonderful time enjoying the food and chatting together. Our little Chloe had a great time playing with cousins Xuan and Zhi.

Our Little Gal

How time flies, my little gal is 29+mths old! Wah...soon, she will be 3 years old. Nowadays, she will show us her three little fingers and proudly announced that she is 3 Years Old.

Kid at this age is definitely more challenging, demanding and attention seeking. Every night, she would request us to read to her -‘Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes’, 'The Leappad storybook on Princess Stories’ and ‘Little Adventure of David’. Sometimes, she will even demand for her 'Pooh Bear jigsaw puzzles or 'Mickey Mouse rolling balls’. Sighs. By the time, she was tired and into lullaby…..it was already 11pm+! *Yawn*

Well, Chloe's teacher has feedback to us that Chloe love to dance and sing in class. No doubt about this, this little fellow can dance to any tune, even to those oldies that my mom played at home. Hahahaha. Ya, she love to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', 'London bridge is falling down', 'Incy bitsy spider', 'Where is Thumbkin' and few others. I guess probably because of her early exposure to nursery rhymes (since she was baby) hence she enjoys nursery rhymes and remembers most of the lyrics quite well. Heeeeeheheheeheh.
